Kamen Rider Build’s Atsuhiro Inukai And Doubutsu Sentai Zyuohger’s Miki Yanagi Cast In 24 Japan

24 was an American drama series that aired on Fox in 2001. The episodes all covered one hour of a 24 hour day.

Recently, Japan has remade the series as 24 Japan that will also have a season of 24 episodes. Season 1 will begin broadcasting on TV Asahi on October 9. Toshiaki Karasawa portrays the Japanese version of Jack Bauer (initially portrayed by Kiefer Sutherland.)

Season 1 of 24 Japan will revolve around the day of an important general election when everyone has high hopes for the first possible Prime Minister of Japan. However, there’s news that a terrorist may attempt to assassinate the female candidate.

Atsuhiro Inukai, who portrayed Sento Kiryu/Kamen Rider Build, as announced to appear in the show. He will portray Samejima Gou. The actor commented that when he was in elementary school, he was a big fan of the show. He watched the entire series with his mother. 24 is a popular drama, even in Japan, so he was surprised and happy the show was being adapted in Japan. At the time, he hoped he would be part of The Counter Terrorist Unit, but that was not the case.

Also appearing is Miki Yanagi, who appeared as Sela/Zyuoh Shark Doubutsu Sentai Zyuohger. She will portray Hakozaki Suzu. She commented that she was also a fan of the original and also thought the CTU was cool. She wanted to be in the CTU for the Japanese version, but her story is completely different.

Inukai and Yanagi will have a scene together, which was the actress’ first time challenging such a scene. (Intentionally omitted due to possible spoilers.) But since the staff was so supportive, it made the experience more enjoyable.
