Kamen Rider Saber Trademark Confirmed

Toei Corporation trademark has been registered for the next 2020-2021 Kamen Rider Series. The trademark was filed on May 29, 2020 but published on June 16, 2020.

The name, which refers to a “saber” blade, was posted in multiple forms:

  • Kamen Rider Saber
  • 仮面ライダーセイバ
  • 仮面ライダー聖刃

Often, the trademark is announced a few months earlier in the year, around April, but may have been delayed due to COVID-19.

Kamen Rider Saber will mark the second series of the Reiwa era following Kamen Rider Zero-One.

There was plenty of discussion about the name on social media after it was revealed. Some Japanese netizens got the name confused with Kamen Rider Saver (仮面ライダーセイヴァ), a Rider that appeared in Kamen Rider Gaim Gaiden: Kamen Rider Duke.

As expected, many are comparing the new name to the popular series Fate: Stay/Night. Some started to speculate for other Riders that may appear such as Kamen Rider Archer, Kamen Rider Berserker, and of course, Kamen Rider Rider.

Toei has not announced any additional information regarding the new trademark.
