Shieri Ohata (大幡しえり) portrayed Tsukuyomi in Kamen Rider ZI-O. She recently spoke in an interview with WWD Japan about how she began working in the entertainment field and appearing in Kamen Rider ZI-O.
Ohata will reprise her role in Kamen Rider Reiwa the First Generation.
Ohata explained that she was scouted when she was in her third year of high school. She never had a strong interest in working in entertainment, especially as an actress. When she first started working at the office, she wanted to be a model but took some acting classes. While in the classes, she became interested in going forth with acting.
Ohata stated her most memorable job was Kamen Rider ZI-O, which is a long-term project that lasts one year. She got to experience many things, such as living alone for the first time and appearing in action scenes. She felt she was able to grow from her experience, especially ad-libbing.
Many of her co-stars were around her age, so they got along well.
Ohata was surprised to learn that not only children enjoyed Kamen Rider, but also their parents. She realized Kamen Rider was loved by people of all ages.
Ohata felt her role in Kamen Rider ZI-O was fulfilling. She plans on improving her acting skills so she can take on a variety of work.
