Man Arrested for Allegedly Shoplifting Kamen Rider Goods to Resell

Hiroshima Police arrested an unemployed 56-year-old man on suspicion of theft. They claim he was shoplifting popular toys, such as Kamen Rider transformation belts from the currently airing show Kamen Rider ZI-O. The police suspect that he is stealing these goods with the intention of selling them later at a higher price.

According to the report, the man targeted the same shopping center twice in November 2018. He allegedly stole two transformation belts and six toy weapons. After stealing them items, he sold the items the next day to a nearby resale shop.

A resale shop commented that “Since the new Kamen Rider goods are popular among fans and children, they will buy the items at a high price.”
