Kohei Takeda (武田航平) has appeared in two Kamen Rider series. He portrayed Otoya Kurenai/Kamen Rider Ixa in Kamen Rider Kiva and Kazumi Sawatari/Kamen Rider Grease in Kamen Rider Build.
Takeda recently collaborated with Delish Kitchen in the “30 Day Homecooking” challenge. He used the Panasonic Private Viera 15TD8 in combination with the Panasonic Hot Plate NF-W 200 to create a variety of meals.
The first meal that Takeda tackled was mini-hamburg steaks. He stated that he once had a part-time job in a Western-style restaurant, where he often made hamburgers. He hasn’t done so recently and felt apprehensive of his current cooking skills. After completing the meal, he sampled his food and commented that “It’s cute! When I was young, my mother made me similar meals.”
The Panasonic Private Viera 15TD8 is a screen that has multiple uses, such as a kitchen timer or access video streaming services such as Youtube. Takeda said he liked the screen because it was waterproof, but he could also use it to watch overseas dramas or the latest Giants game. He can also watch tv while enjoying a beer.
Takeda is known for his appearances on Kamen Rider, but was asked about other series. He stated that he enjoyed watching Takeru Satoh (佐藤健) in Kamen Rider Den-O, but also Hiro Mizushima (水嶋ヒロ) and Yusuke Yamamoto (山本裕典) Kamen Rider Kabuto. He hopes to watch Kamen Rider Drive soon since he previously stared in the film HiGH & LOW alongside Yu Inaba (稲葉友) Go Shijima/Kamen Rider Mach. Takeda seemed particularly interested in why a car was used instead of the traditional motorcycle.
Takeda was asked about his cooking habits when he is not filming. He stated that he only cooks at home about four days a week. Sometimes he prepares leftovers or buys a cheap item from the market and hopes to prepare something good. He also prepared easy meals at home and often made a quick onigiri for rehearsals. Since he’s had experience in a kitchen, he says he can create meals for 30 days without relying on a recipe.
Takeda was asked about the secret of his youthful appearance and lifestyle. Takeda believes it’s due to his diet. He consumes plenty of vegetables. But in the future, he hopes to improve his cooking skills.
Since his appearance on Kamen Rider Build recently ended, he discussed his future plans. With original content on streaming services increasing in popularity, he hopes to take on as many challenges as possible.
But when asked if he prefers Kamen Rider Kiva or Build, he stated “Both!”
