Share

Godzilla will celebrate its 65th anniversary in 2019. It was announced that on November 3, 2019, the Godzilla Festival 2019 would be held at Tokyo Midtown Hibiya from 10:00-19:00 to celebrate the creature’s birthday.

Toho Studio, the largest movie studio in Japan, has produced films since before the war. The first Godzilla film was released in 1954. The studio has continued to film the movies at the studio, which have reached fans worldwide.

To commemorate the 65th anniversary, Toho Studio will host a tour open to visitors, which has been previously prohibited to the public. On November 4th, Toho employees will guide visitors around to areas Godzilla and other films are made, plus they can view movie art and pop warehouses.

The tour will be limited to only a few chosen visitors. More information on how to register will be available soon on a special website.
