More Actors and Synopsis Released for Upcoming Zangetsu Stage Play

Kamen Rider Zangetsu is an original story not seen before on the tv show. The synopsis of the stage play has also been released.

The Republic of Torukia has been declining due to poverty and conflict. There was once an experimental project site created by the Yggdrasil Corporation. Takatora Kureshima learns that an incident occurred at the old site, and revisits the area for the first time in 8 years. Attacked by surprise, he falls into a giant hole. Within that hole, he learns of an underground city.

That underground city beneath Torukia is the most dangerous place in the republic. Many young men are killed defending themselves while trying to survive. The men are using using Lock Seeds and drivers to transform into Riders.

After falling down the hole into the underground city, Takatora loses his memory. He’s helped by the leader of of the “Orange Ride” team. He suddenly sees another Rider, shocked by his amazing power. He realizes that Rider is “Zangetsu.”

Those around Takatora try to help him regain his memory. Unbeknownst to them, there are secret cameras hidden all around the underground city. The ones behind the cameras are responsibile for the conflicts in the city. One man in particular is seeking revenge on Takatora for a specific reason.

Two more actors were announced for the upcoming Kamen Rider Zangetsu stage play, debuing in March 2019.

Kazuki Namioka (波岡一喜) portrayed the lock dealer Sid/Kamen Rider Sigurd in Kamen Rider Gaim, while Atsushi Shiramata (白又敦) portrayed Ryoji Hase/Kamen Rider Kurokage.

Details surrounding the cast has been clarified. While not every cast member is part of a group, there are three teams in the underground world. Yuki Kubota will reprise his character from Kamen Rider Gaim: Takatora Kureshima.
