Mahiro Takasugi Holds Trophy for “Smiles Leading to Happiness” Film Award
Mahiro Takasugi (高杉真宙) appeared with the staff of Smiles Leading to Happiness at the 16th Monaco International Film Festival. The film was screened at the event.
The film was awarded the “Angel Trophy Award for Best Film of 2018.”
According to the official website:
The Angel Film Awards – Monaco International Film Festival the only film festival in the world to use the power of film to promote Global Peace, Cultural Harmony, and Entertainment Unity.
Though the event took place in December 2018, Takasugi was unable to attend. He was busy working on a stage show and didn’t find out about the award until the performance was over. He expressed how happy to hold the trophy in his hands and feel its weight.
In Smiles Leading to Happiness, Takasugi takes the lead role as Daichi. He is considered one of the leading Dental Technicians due to his skills and handsome appearance. Though he’s praised by his co-workers, he really hopes to win the approval of his father. The weight of his father’s approval begins to affect his work, causing him to begin making mistakes at work.
Mahiro Takasugi previously portrayed Mitsuzane Kureshima/Kamen Rider Ryugen in Kamen Rider Gaim.
Smiles Leading to Happiness is scheduled to release in theaters on February 15, 2019.
