Kamen Rider Actors Look Back at Series During Fan Thanksgiving Event
Kento Handa (半田健人) who played Takumi Inui/Kamen Rider Faiz, Kohei Murakami (村上幸平) who played Masato Kusaka/Kamen Rider Kaixa, and Kouhei Takeda (武田航平) who played Kazumi Sawatari/Kamen Rider Grease in Kamen Rider Build appeared together at the Toei Tokusatsu Fan Thanksgiving 2018 on Tuesday, October 27, 2018. The event was held in Tokyo.
Their segment was entitled “Looking Back at Heisei Kamen Rider.” They discusses their roles in previous shows. Takeda had an ongoing appearance in two Kamen Rider shows, his last being Otoya Kurenai/Kamen Rider Ixa in Kamen Rider Kiva.
Producer Shinichiro Shirakura (白倉伸一郎) also appeared at the event to discuss the currently airing show, Kamen Rider ZI-O. ZI-O is the last Kamen Rider series in the Heisei period.
During the event, Honda spoke of his initial work in Kamen Rider under Shirakura and asked him “Should I watch previous Kamen Rider series?” Shirakura told him not to, because he didn’t want Honda to do what was already done.
Honda admitted that he wasn’t familiar with other Riders, except from the series he has appeared in, but studied past work. In the past few years, he watched Kamen Rider 555 and began to think of the overall Kamen Rider series more.
The Toei Tokusatsu Fan Thanksgiving 2018 also showcased a “Super Sentai Heroine Talk” and a mini-live Super Sentai concert. The event can be enjoyed on the official TTFC app.
