Sougo Tokiwa/Kamen Rider ZI-O

Kamen Rider ZI-O will star Sou Okuno (奥野壮), who won the “Photogenic Prize” Junon Boys’ 30th Super Boy Contest. He will play 18-year old Sougo Tokiwa, who transforms into Kamen Rider ZI-O. Tokiwa is a high school student that has high hopes to “even become a king” in the future. He feels as though he has the power to do anything, and possesses positive thinking.

When a time traveler, Tsukuyomi, arrives from the future and tells him he will reign the world as the Demon King in 50 years, he realizes that he has to change the future. He is determined to make people happy, not rule over them as a Demon King, so he willing to change the future as a Kamen Rider.

Keitsu Myokouin/Kamen Rider Geiz

Gaku Ojida (押田岳) portrays Keitsu Myokouin, who transforms into Kamen Rider Gates. He comes from 50 years in the future, and is only 18 years old. In 2968 he fought the Demon King with the Resistance, but struggled. He appeared in 2018 to take down Tokiwa before he could transform into the Demon King.

However, he is convinced by Tsukuyomi, who came from his world, that “It’s necessary to watch Tokiwa and see if he really will become the Demon King.” He reluctantly accepts. He lives on the second floor of the watch shop.

Tsukuyomi

Tsukuyomi is portrayed by Shieri Ohata (大幡しえり). Tsukuyomi is an 18-year-old girl who came from 50 years in the future. She decided that she needed to travel back in time to stop Tokiwa, not by taking his life, but by encouraging him not to gain the powers of the devil. She will encourage Tokiwa’s strong sense of justice and help him accomplish it with powers beyond his imaginations. Overall, she will support Tokiwa’s battles.

Wozu

Keisuke Watanabe (渡邊圭祐) portrays Wozu, a prophet from 50 years in the future. He always has a book in hand, and states phrases that foresees the future. Though he seems to support Tokiwa’s change into Kamen Rider ZI-O, he appears to have a mysterious purpose.

Uru

Hito Itagakiri (板垣李光人) portrays Uru. He is a “time jacker boy.” He creates Another Rider in each year. He appears to be innocent, but another side of him enjoys creating a commotion that is seperate from his true purpose.

Ora

Ayaka Konno (紺野彩夏) portrays Ora, who is a “time jacker girl.” She is a cool and beautiful woman, unlike Uru, who tries to create another Rider to become a new king.

Swords

Kentarou Kanesaki (兼崎健太郎) plays Swords, another time jacker who appears to be older than Uru and Ora, which may be why he appears to look down on them. He is incredibly powerful and can stop their movements. He is a cold man who forces others to be Riders without a word.

Junichiro Tokiwa

Katsuhisa Namase (生瀬勝久) portrays Tokiwa’s great uncle, Junichiro Tokiwa, who is the owner of the watch shop Kujigozi Temple. Though he specializes in watches, he can repair electronic appliances as well. Despite Tokiwa saying he will becoming king, he just watches him and supports him. Though he lived alone with Tokiwa before, he lent rooms to Keitsu and Tsukuyomi. He is such a good guy that he’ll even pack a bento box for them. His casual conversation give insight to other Riders.

As Tokiwa travels to save time, he encounters all of the past Heisei Kamen Riders and fights using their strengths. So far, he will meet with the cast of Kamen Rider Build and Ex-Aid.

A production presentation for the 20th Heisei Kamen Rider series was held on August 7, 2018. The main four cast members, along with the bike, appeared on stage.

At the event was a cast talk with the actors in their show costumes. Okuno also performed the transformation pose for Kamen Rider ZI-O.
