Shu Watanabe Participates in Stage Talk During One Piece Day Celebration

Shu Watanabe (渡部秀), who portrayed Eiji Hino in Kamen Rider OOO, recently participated in a stage talk at the One Piece Day celebration at Tokyo Tower on July 22, 2018.

The creator of One Piece, Eiichiro Oda (尾田 栄一郎), was also there to commemorate the event. One Piece Day was previously established last year by the Japan Anniversary Association. Along with Watanabe was Greg Warner, who is the official One Piece columnist at Shueisha & Toei Animation.

Watanabe has often spoke about his adoration of the series. He discussed talking to voice actor Kazuki Yao (矢尾 一樹), who performs many voices for the series, and exchanged contact information. Watanabe believes his friend circle is increasing thanks to One Piece.

The panel also discussed their favorite manga volumes, which is now up to 89. Watanabe stated his favorite was Volume 24 because of all the interesting elements included within each chapter.

They discussed the current ongoing “Wano Country” arc. Watanabe said “I’m excited about the magnificient landscape and the ongoing story.”

After the discussion, Watanabe spent time with fans and was glad to have the oppotunity to be with other One Piece fans.
