Hiroshi Fujioka Mourns Loss of Co-Star Ren Osugi

Hiroshi Fujioka, who portrayed Takeshi Hongo in Kamen Rider, recently appeared on a Joho Live Miyaneya, which airs Monday through Friday. Fujioka appeared on the show on February 22, 2018. During the program, he mourned the loss of actor Ren Osugi, who passed away on February 21, 2018 from acute heart failure. Osugi previously appeared in Garo: Makai no Hana and Ninja Sentai Kakuranger.

Fujioka and Osugi previously worked together during Kamen Rider, where Osugi was the suit actor for Ambassador Hell. Fujioka discussed memories he had of Osugi on the program.

Fujioka said “It was a great honor to have him appear in Kamen Rider.” He said he was a very exciting person he honored, adding “He was kind and caring.”

When the pair had a good meeting together, Fujioka would look back on the moment positively. He felt regret that he would not have the opportunity to co-star with Osugi again in the future.
