Sensei Kunshu tells the story of a high school girl named Ayuha. She works hard, but suddenly finds herself short on money at a restaurant. Yoshitaka pays her bill, leaving the girl stunned. The next day, Ayuha learns that Yoshitaka will be working at her school as a substitute teacher. Ayuha believes that they’re fated to be together and won’t give up on him.

Takeuchi stated that since he turned 24 years old, he’s old enough to be cast as a teacher, but is excited about all of the various roles he’ll be able to play in the future. He stated he will work hard with the cast and staff of Sensei Kunshu.

Filming for Sensei Kunshu will begin on January 15, 2018. Sho Tsukikawa has been announced as director for the series. The official air date is still pending.
