Shouma Kai Participates at First Calendar Release Event

Shouma Kai, who portrayed Parad in Kamen Rider Ex-Aid, recently participated in a 2018 Calendar Launch event in Tokyo.

Kai’s acting debut was in TV Asahi’s Kamen Rider Ex-Aid. His tall appearance was noticed on-screen. Kai, who turns 20 on November 14th, said “I have been told that I was playing a childish role on Kamen Rider, but this year I aim to be cool”. He recently started weight training to define his muscles and look good in a suit. “I went to a neighborhood park and was working out alone at night” he revealed.

Kai described his future goals, saying “I have tried a lot since my debut to the present. I feel there are a lot of cool people around me, and I was inspired when I saw them. I want to be like them.” he said ambitiously. As for the roles he’d like to take on, he stated “I’d like to do roles like a salaryworker, love story, or an action work where I can impress viewers.”

He spoke with a smile, stating that this was his “first personal event and he was was happy to be able to directly express his appreciation to his fans.” The calendar shows off his eyes, and each month has a different theme. While January and February are “cute”, November and December have a more adult atmosphere.

The calendar is B3 size and will be available for 2500¥.
