Marmalade Boy Live Action Movie Announced

The live action movie version of Marmalade Boy has been announced.

Marmalade Boy was originally a manga series created by Wataru Yoshimizu. The series lasted from 1992 to 1995 and was adapted into an anime, movie, and Taiwanese live action show. The series stars Miki and Yuu, step-siblings, whose parents decide to divorce and swap spouses. After hearing the announcement, Yoshimizu expressed excitement to see the pair on screen.

Hinako Sakurai will star as Miki. Ryo Yoshizawa will lead as her step-brother Yuu. Yoshizawa previously starred as Ryusei Sakuta/Kamen Rider Meteor in Kamen Rider Fourze.

Marmalade Boy will be released in theaters in 2018.
