Ryo Yoshizawa Holds Meeting Event to Commemorate 2nd Photobook

A handshake meeting event was held to commemorate Ryo Yoshizawa’s (Ryusei Sakuta/Kamen Rider Meteor of Kamen Rider Fourze ) second photobook release entitled “Ryo Yoshizawa PHOTO BOOK: One Day Off”. It was held in the Fukuya Bookstore Shinjuku Subnade in Tokyo on May 20, 2017.

This photobook covers his “vacations” in locations such as New York, Okinawa, and Hong Kong throughout the year.

When he first traveled to New York in May 2016, he did not intend on making a photobook. He was introduced to photographer Jimi Franklin, who took some photos. Yoshizawa was impressed by the photos, and Franklin continued to take photos in Okinawa, Kyoto, and Hong Kong.

Hong Kong was the only city where he was accompanied by a hair and makeup staff and a stylist. His favorite image in the book is in a tropical fish shop in Hong Kong. The images reminded him of a scene from the 1996 version of Romeo + Juliet.

Finally, he said to fans, “Since it is a collection of photos taken throughout the year, my facial expression and tension have changed according to the work I’ve been in at the time. It’s a photo collection where you’ll get to see my various faces.”
