Three Tokusatsu Stars to Appear in NHK’s Hiyokko

Actress Kasumi Arimura has been cast as the heroine in Hiyokko. Hiyokko airs Monday-Saturday from 8AM-8:15AM on NHK. Yoshikazu Okada is the screenwriter. A press conference was held in Tokyo to discuss the show.

Hiyokko takes place in 1964. Mineko Yatabe (Arimura) is a young girl who travels to Tokyo to look for work and find her father. She finds work in a restaurant, where she soon becomes friends with her co-workers. Though they have become a family unit for her, she still strives to find her father.

Ryoma Takeuchi (Shinnosuke Tomari of Kamen Rider Drive) has been announced to join the cast. He will be playing a college student who lives near Arimura. Hayato Isomura (Alain/Kamen Rider Necrom of Kamen Rider Ghost ) and Ryo Ryusei (Daigo Kiryu/Kyoryu Red of Zyuden Sentai Kyoryuger) were also previously announced cast members.
